Meagan Good, renowned actor and model, has candidly discussed her relationship with Jonathan Majors despite warnings from friends regarding his controversial past.

Majors, known for his roles in Marvel films, faced legal repercussions in December 2023 for assault charges stemming from an incident involving his former girlfriend, Grace Jabbari.

Good, 42, revealed in a recent interview on ‘Today With Hoda & Jenna’ that “every friend advised” her against pursuing a relationship with Majors, 34, following his legal troubles earlier in the year.

Majors was found guilty of harassment and assault, resulting in a sentence that includes domestic violence programming, therapy sessions, and fines.

While acknowledging her friends’ concerns, Good stated the depth of support and connection she shares with Majors.

“The pouring into each other, the honest conversations, the love, the respect, just the care and the thoughtfulness – it’s just been really wonderful,” Good shared during the interview.

When questioned about advice from friends to wait until after Majors’ legal issues were resolved, Good affirmed that she received such counsel.

“But at the end of the day,” she added, “I trust my spirit, I trust God, and I move to the beat of my own drum. I can always look and say, ‘Okay, I’m proud of that,’” she explained, highlighting her commitment to following her own path despite external opinions.

Good, who was previously married to producer DeVon Franklin from 2012 to 2022, expressed gratitude for the growth and lessons from her past relationships.

Reflecting on her marriage, she noted:

“To me, it’s a success when you’ve learned a lot, when you’ve given a lot, when you take a lot with you, when you’re a better person for it.”

Throughout Majors’ trial, jurors heard testimony detailing the altercation where he physically assaulted Jabbari, which included surveillance footage capturing the incident.

Despite the legal challenges, Majors has recently secured a role in director Martin Villeneuve’s upcoming independent revenge thriller, ‘Merciless’, marking his return to the film industry amidst efforts to rehabilitate his career.
