Tina Knowles is rejoicing! After years of anticipation, Beyoncé has finally secured the Country Album of the Year award at the 67th Grammy Awards for her groundbreaking album, Cowboy Carter. And who better to celebrate the historic win than her proud mother, Tina Knowles?

Beyoncé’s victory corrects what many fans and critics have long viewed as one of the Recording Academy’s biggest snubs. Despite being the most-decorated artist in Grammy history, with 35 wins and 99 nominations, the Renaissance singer had been passed over for Album of the Year four times in the past. However, this year, the Recording Academy finally gave Queen Bey her long-overdue flowers.

As Beyoncé hugged her eldest daughter, Blue Ivy Carter (already a Grammy winner), and started to head towards the stage, the audience erupted with joy. Lady Gaga and Billie Eilish were in tears, Cynthia Erivo bounced up and down, Taylor Swift raised a glass with Jay-Z, Olivia Rodrigo applauded, and GloRilla shouted until she could hardly continue.

Tina Knowles also wasted no time in sharing her excitement. Taking to Instagram, she celebrated Beyoncé’s monumental achievement by posting a video of GloRilla, cheering wildly as Beyoncé made her way to the stage to accept her award. In the clip, GloRilla’s ecstatic reaction mirrored the feelings of the entire BeyHive, and Tina clearly loved the energy.

“This was me last night when they announced @beyonce won for Album Of The Year at home watching by myself. Through all those years, she was so gracious when not winning, still remaining humble and being genuinely happy for those who did win. I always told her that I really appreciated and admired her humbleness and classy graciousness.

“So yes, last night. @glorillapimp was me, and I was her!! We were the same person. Thank you for all the prayers and love she received last night.. thank you to the BeyHive and everyone who supported her. Thank you for all the beautiful texts that I received from people who were crying, and so happy to see her finally win that award. Thank you to the audience for cheering for her. God Bless you,” Tina Knowles wrote.

Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter is more than just an album—it’s a cultural statement. The project not only showcases her artistic versatility but also highlights and honors the Black roots of country music, a genre where Black contributions have often been overlooked. The album was praised for its rich storytelling, genre-blending sounds, and powerful message of reclaiming space in country music history.
