CreditRich, the groundbreaking Black woman-owned neo-bank, has announced the opening of its historic $100 million Series B investment round at a $1 billion valuation.
Co-founded by HBCU alumni Dr. Angel Rich-Jones and Courtney Keen, CreditRich is revolutionizing financial technology with its mission to optimize credit scores and enhance wealth-building opportunities, particularly for underserved communities.
The company also welcomed Rudy Terrazas, Founder of GWA Funding, to its board. His decades of experience in global finance are expected to bolster CreditRich’s ambitious plans for international expansion.
Transforming Financial Access
CreditRich allows users to round up spare change to intelligently pay bills, improve payment histories, and optimize credit scores with cutting-edge AI technology.
The platform combines banking, credit reporting, and digital payments into one seamless experience, empowering users to transition between accounts with ease and security.
“CreditRich is breaking ceilings not just for Black women entrepreneurs, but for all women aspiring to change the world,” said Dr. Angel Rich-Jones, who recently received an honorary Doctorate of Humanities from United Graduate College and Seminary International.
A Legacy of Firsts
CreditRich has made waves in the fintech industry by becoming the first Black company to form strategic partnerships with major credit bureaus and scoring corporations.
In collaboration with VISA, CreditRich launched its Visa Signature Debit and Credit Cards, securing the largest global fintech deal by a Black woman-founded company.
This new funding round will enable CreditRich to expand its offerings, including payment solutions, credit products, and loans, further advancing its vision of bridging the wealth gap.
A Powerful Milestone
With fewer than 100 Black women founders having secured $1 million in funding for their companies, CreditRich’s Series B round is a groundbreaking achievement.
Dr. Rich-Jones, also the author of History of the Black Dollar, spoke about the importance of their mission:
“CreditRich is committed to harnessing our power to solve systemic issues like closing the wealth gap, and with Rudy Terrazas on board, we are ready to reach new heights in the payments industry.”
This announcement cements CreditRich’s position as a transformative force in fintech, breaking barriers and delivering innovative financial tools to underserved communities worldwide.
