Viola Davis has reached another historic milestone, cementing her place as one of the most powerful figures in entertainment history.
The Academy Award-winning actress has officially surpassed $15 billion in global box office earnings, making her the highest-grossing Black film actress in Hollywood history.
In a year already stacked with accolades, Davis has also been announced as one of the 2025 Television Academy Hall of Fame inductees, joining an elite group that includes Don Mischer, Ryan Murphy, Conan O’Brien, Mike Post, and Henry Winkler. The Television Academy praised the honorees for having “changed television forever.” Their induction will be celebrated during the inaugural #Televerse Festival this August.
