Woman Says She Reported Jamaican Restaurant to ICE For Serving ‘Rotten Food’: ‘The Willie Lynch Theory in Effect’

by Gee NY

A previously unknown heated dispute between a customer and a Jamaican-owned restaurant in the United States resulted in an ICE activity that eventually led to the closure of the restaurant.

The issue has also triggered a raging debate online after the customer claimed she contacted U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) following the argument over what she described as spoiled food.

In a video posted on TikTok by Global Star Entertainment (@globalstar_), the woman—identified on social media as a Black American—openly stated that she reported the restaurant’s owners to immigration authorities after an altercation she says escalated into verbal abuse.

“Yeah, I said it. I called ICE,” the woman said in the video, which has since circulated widely across platforms.

She alleged that she was served “burnt up” and “rotten” food and that when she requested a replacement meal, she was insulted by the restaurant owner and her husband.

According to her account, the confrontation became hostile, prompting her to contact immigration authorities weeks later.

The woman further claimed that ICE eventually raided the establishment, leading to the deportation of those working there and the closure of the restaurant. She alleged that the establishment is now shuttered and listed for rent. No official confirmation from ICE or local authorities has been made public to independently verify these claims.

Despite intense backlash online, the woman has remained defiant, stating that she stands by her actions. She dismissed criticism and threats sent to her online, saying she does not live in the affected community and has not visited Jamaica in nearly two decades.

The incident has triggered strong reactions on social media, with commenters sharply divided. Some condemned the woman’s actions as excessive and harmful, accusing her of weaponising immigration enforcement over a customer service dispute. Others argued that if the restaurant owners were operating legally, there would have been no consequences from an ICE visit.

Comments under the viral video ranged from calls of “karma” to deeper critiques of systemic issues, including references to racial division and community conflict.

Others questioned the ethics of involving federal immigration authorities in what began as a commercial disagreement.

“The Willie Lynch theory in effect! Turn dem against each other,” another commented in reference to a well-known idea about social division.

The episode comes at a time of heightened sensitivity around immigration enforcement in the United States, particularly within immigrant and minority communities, where fears of raids and deportations remain prevalent.

Advocacy groups have long warned that the threat of immigration enforcement can be misused in personal or commercial conflicts, with devastating consequences for families and small businesses.
