In a recent discussion with MSNBC, Representative Jasmine Crockett she has warned that Project 2025, an initiative by the Heritage Foundation, is already in motion and shaping the direction of American policy and governance.
Crockett, drawing on her experience in the Texas House, highlighted the significant influence of the Heritage Foundation in pushing legislation through state houses and senates, leading to restrictive measures such as the ‘Heartbeat’ bill in Texas.
“First of all, thanks to MSNBC for actually discussing an issue that voters need to know about, which is Project 2025, instead of engaging in the extra drama that has been going on,” Crockett stated during the interview on July 21, 2024.

“Project 2025 is actually already underway. As someone who served in the Texas House and had to endure the Heritage Foundation sending bills through, because that is exactly what they have been doing, through our State Houses and our Senate, that is how we ended up with these abortion bans. They call it the ‘Heartbeat’ bill in the state of Texas.”
Crockett pointed out that the influence of the Heritage Foundation extends beyond Texas, affecting states like Florida, and poses a broader threat to constitutional integrity and individual freedoms.
“What people need to understand and decide is: if you like the direction this country is going as it relates to our Supreme Court that has eviscerated our Constitution, seemingly doesn’t care anything about court precedents and seemingly only wants to bow down to Trump; they are serving him in a way that Eileen Cannon just did, then that is what you will get more of,” she warned.
She further expressed concerns over the ideological imposition by the Supreme Court and what she believes to be the disregard for established legal precedents.
“If you want to live in a country in which you are force-fed this pseudo-Christianity, where you have to believe in God and do the things that they say their God wants you to do, which I argue is the same God that they use to justify slavery in the first place,” Crockett argued, underscoring the dangers of such an agenda.
Crockett also highlighted the ongoing impact of Project 2025 on diversity, equity, and inclusion policies, noting that these changes are already evident in recent Supreme Court decisions.
“And when we look at Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and what they’ve done in the Supreme Court, we already see this [Project 2025] actually taking place,” she said.

“The issue that we don’t understand is that the last kinda nail in the coffin is Trump getting into the Presidency. The scariest part about that is, let’s say he decides he doesn’t want to leave the White House. Well, who is going to remove him? Because there is a Supreme Court that has decided that checking him is not something that they are interested in doing,” Crockett concluded.
