A close source to Keke Palmer’s boyfriend has just made a shocking revelation about his relationship with the Akilah and the Bee star.
According to a recent PEOPLE report, Darius Jackson “has moved on,” adding that he is ready to become more known for his acting career rather than making headlines because of his relationship with the mother of his firstborn child.
“You don’t have to be in the same household to be good parents,” the source further revealed about the child they just had in February.
In July, Shine My Crown reported how he really felt about the publicity Palmer was receiving while at an Usher concert.
In recent Twitter posts – which have since been taken down after he deactivated his account –Jackson faced backlash after calling out the Hustlers star for an outfit she wore to see Usher perform at his Las Vegas Residency.
“We live in a generation where a man of the family doesn’t want the wife & mother to his kids to showcase booty cheeks to please others & he gets told how much of a hater he is,” he wrote in one tweet. “This is my family & my representation. I have standards & morals to what I believe. I rest my case.”
In the video referenced, Palmer is seen wearing a black see-through mesh bodysuit with a one-piece lingerie number underneath.
“It’s the outfit tho.. you a mom,” Jackson added.
His tweets then went viral on Twitter, eliciting responses from fans who both approved and condemned his tweets, to which he responded, “Last tweet of the day for sure. that’s for the real ones to understand.”
Later that month, the 29-year-old Illinois native became one of the latest celebrities to open up about her sexuality.
In a recent appearance on The Best Podcast Ever with Raven and Miranda the 29-year-old mother of one said that she is at a point where she wants to “explore her life” after spending most of her childhood and adulthood repressing her sexuality.
“There was a moment in my life where I was like ya know, can I be myself? The moment where you overthink s—,” Palmer told co-hosts Raven-Symoné and her wife Miranda Maday. “That’s not even me, why am I overthinking this? I guess you just get to the point where I want my life to be my own life.”
This isn’t the first time Palmer has opened up about not wanting to fit in a box.
“There is like an unsaid thing that can make you feel — and because I liked guys too, I was kinda like, ‘Well, we don’t have to talk about it,’ ” the actress shared. “Because I like guys too, it was like that’s another extra thing that no one really has to know about. I don’t really have to live out,” adding that “I ultimately just feel like the acceptance of that part of myself, in general, was a part of my process of being able to have love in my life.”
At the time of this writing, Palmer has yet to respond to the alleged breakup.
Last week, Palmer and Usher announced that were collaborating on a song called Boyfriend.
In the song’s teaser, Usher sings: “Somebody said that your boyfriend’s looking for me/Oh that’s cool.”
