The 2024 BET Awards shone with Black Queen’s excellence, and this year’s spotlight was exceptionally bright on phenomenal female stars. These talented women made an impression on the ceremony, hosting royalty and chart-topping winners alike.

The 2024 BET Awards were held on Sunday (June 30) at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles. Taraji P. Henson returned to host the show for the third consecutive year.

Taraji P. Henson kept the energy high throughout the evening. Her wit and signature humor perfectly complement the evening’s mix of powerful performances and emotional acceptance speeches.

Megan Thee Stallion, the Hot Girl captain from Texas, lit up the stage with her electrifying opening performances of “BOA” and “Where Them Girls At.”

The occasion was commemorated with a star-studded musical tribute to Usher, which included a medley of his hits performed by Chlöe Bailey, Childish Gambino, KeKe Palmer, CoCo Jones, Tinashe, Latto, and others. The industry icon also won the award for “Best Male R&B/Pop Artist.”

While awards are exciting, some of the most inspiring moments stemmed from the sheer power of Black women’s artistry.
