The 2026 GRAMMY nominations are officially here, and the internet is already arguing. The Recording Academy dropped the complete list ahead of Music’s Biggest Night. And this year’s lineup is stacked with Black excellence across every major category.

This year’s nominees reflect an eclectic, creative year in music from R&B to rap to African music and gospel. Established stars are battling newcomers, and first-time nominees are standing shoulder to shoulder with industry heavyweights. It’s shaping up to be one of the most competitive GRAMMY seasons in recent years.

Here are the standout moments everyone is talking about.

Summer Walker Secures Two Major Nods with “Heart Of A Woman” securing Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Song.

Ayra Starr and Tyla compete in The Best African Music Performance category with “Gimme Dat” and “PUSH 2 START.”

Doechii dominates with four nominations. Her song “Anxiety” pulled in four nominations, including Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Music Video, Best Rap Performance, and Best Rap Song.

Cardi B’s “Outside” earns a rap nod for Best Rap Performance, keeping her in the GRAMMY conversation. And GloRilla scores a big one with ‘GLORIOUS’ in the Best Rap Album category.

Kehlani received a double R&B recognition with her emotional single “Folded” in Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Song. SZA also landed major nominations in Record of the Year, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, and Best Traditional R&B Performance.

Coco Jones is nominated for Best R&B Album with Why Not More? Her smooth vocals and classic R&B sound have been praised all year, and now she’s getting her well-earned recognition.

The Gospel community also saw standout nominations, including Yolanda Adams – “Sunny Days” (Best Gospel Album) and Tasha Cobbs Leonard – “Tasha” (Best Gospel Album)

The 2026 Grammy is set to be big. Catch the complete list of nominees below:
